DA'S pretty much just the world, isn't it?

I love going through Deviant Art. I mean, I ADORE it. After a stressful day, to sit on the couch and be able to visit ALL around the world, through pictures, comments, and journals, relaxes me, and sometimes even gives me a smile.

There's some pretty awesome people out there, people who are civil, level headed, and have gifts beyond anything. An even if some DON"T have an artistic bone in their body, the way people make other's laugh, think, and wield words, is an art in itself.

However, DA has it's alleyways, it's dark rooms, and it's evils. Today, I went through about four different clubs, following rabbit trails of comments, journals an what not. And what I saw there fusterated me, and actually made me facepalm a couple times.  

Trolls are just there to box themselves up in a protection that is humongus (exscuse my laack of spelling -_-; )and shoot bullets at others feet, just to see them 'dance'. They are puppeteers, and if you fall into their traps, you become the puppets.

However, there are those who are NOT trolls, who just are those who like to state their opinions in a forceful way. Becoming a 'larger person' then they, trying to prove YOU are correct, on a matter that has become a 'grey area' in the world, is not going to help you prove your point, especially on the topic of different beliefs as it will only most likely prove their point.

Example:
"I believe there isn't a God. The christians always seem like idiots, an nuts"

"YOU IDIOT! There IS a God! An He's going to throw you in Hell for saying that unless you become a christian!!!"  

-_-; I wish it wasn't that dramatic, but I have found such comments thrown here and there. Yeah guys, that's REALLY going to make them beleive there is a God.  An really want to beleive in Him. I worry for this generation of Christians, who have no tolerance, even though the God we're supposed to follow, sat and ate in crowds of murders, theifs, and people who had done vial things.

Then, there are those who love to debate, debate well, with facts, with good examples, and really in a good clean way. There is no namecalling, no slashing down of others beleifs, just...debating. Yes, sometiems they DO tear down your beliefs...but they do it with facts that cannot be ignored. An in the end, they know when to back off, give you the metiforical 'hand shake', respect you enough to drop it, and hey, maybe even find a friend along the way.

It was sad, when I discovered a young man here on DA, who's page told us he was 13 (though when do we start trusting the interet about people?) who was a complete homophobe. Some of his examples were true (What exactly is the purpose of the Gay Pride Parade?) but other when talking to a bisexual, who while being polite while tring to stick up for the homosexuals and bisexuals and figure out WHY he was that reason (as his signiture had said "I no LONGER have any love for Gays or Bi's" seeing as he once did?), He replied back in a viscious name calling almost frenzy. You would think, that by today's generation, there would be at least SOME tollerance, but they are still those, who feed the fire.

This had me thinking, why DO we have "Gay Pride". If you've ever seen some of these arguments, let me state facts from where I've observed. Many are voting to be 'normal' (which is?), those who may recieve marriage certificates, adopted (or even have) children, adn live the way they do. I may not agree with this, but either way.  How does a homosexual argue that they want to be 'normal', when many homosexual's hold these parades, and have DAYS for themselves?  If they want to fit it, why do they try so hard to be different?  

While some are bullied,and mocked, even if they AREN'T showing the world who they are-----

(to them, I pray for you guys. Please stop takign your lives. You'll find someone special, and a person who would LOVE to be your best friend, no matter what you do/what gender you perfer if you just got out of high school. The world may seem like it, but there are parts who don't act like high schoolers...Least not all the time >>; )

----Here's my say to those who tell someone to 'Shut up, it's offensive to the homosexuals to say you're Straight and Proud of it" an then when that person has enough an tells them to go walk off a bridge, they go crying about how they're being pushed down and mocked for being who they are,

If you want to stop being bullied, stop overdramaticating everything. It's ok to be proud of you who are, but to have to SHOWER the world with it is a bit much. When you pull the dog's tail enough, he's going to bite. An when he does, most of you wonder what you did to get bit, and end up crying about it.

Anyways:

To be perfectly honest, I don't care if you're heterosexual, homosexual, bisexual or asexual, if I saw you walking down the street in some of these rather sickening, eye-raping costumes they wear for these parades, I would be APPALLED. Many say homosexuals SHOULDN"T have children, because they would be messed up. If I had not known many a good, and pretty much moral homosexual, then yes, I WOULD agree with this after seeing such a parade go through my neighborhood. I doubt that ANY social worker would help you adopt a child, even if you ARE in a woman/man marriage, if you walked down streets dressed like that. That really is NOT the enviorment for any child to grow up in.

In my wandering's through these masses of comments, one did make a fair point, and I quote "I always asked my parents as a child, why, as we had a Mother's Day, and a Father's day, we couldnt' have a Kid's day. My mother told me because EVERY day was a Kid's day. EVERY day is a heterosexual day, but not every day is a Homosexual day"  
But in ways I disagree with this wholeheartedly. Many homosexuals just want to stop being bullied and mocked, and fade into the crowd. Why should they get such a day to honor their sexuality? I recently added a stamp to my (Rather large) collection of them on Da, that pretty much just sayd "I don't care about your sexuality"  Please, with all that is good, if you want to 'fit in' (I don't think anyone does to be honest) PLEASE stop choking us with the Gay Pride then giving us no room to state our opinions lest we be 'homophobists'.

*coughs* Anyways. The same can be said with being a Christian. We are to be tolerant of the PERSON, not the sin. People aren't evil, their actions are. So when we suddenly just down someone's throat for doing something/beleiving something/BEING something, what does this say of us? God said "By your fruits they will know ye" An to be honest? SOme of our fruits really stink. I think that christians are worse then the ones we 'yell' at and tell they're sinners. Just cuz we've accepted Christ as our savior, doesn't mean we're perfect. It just means we've put down our pride, layed at His feet, asked for forgiveness, and asked Him to stay with us in our hearts (souls).

*shrugs* We didn't do anything to get the way we are, so why should be act like we're higher and mighter then others?  "ALL have sinned, and come short of the glory of God" (somewhere in romans, will find that sooner or later)  Not just the druggies, the homosexuals, the murderers, the theifs or whatever else the world deems as 'bad'. THis means EVERYONE, the heterosexuals, the ones who give to the poor, the believers, the otherwise 'good people'. We all sin, guys. Stop trying to pick the eyelash out of one person's eye, when you can't even see through the large piece of wood in your own.




Anyways, past moral issues, I love art. But poetry is mocking me. -_-;


The particals of ground,
Because my hands, my feet, my face.
Bits of dust, flowing in the wind.
Became my eyes, my skin, my organs.
My body, made of dirt of the ground,
